Algebra Tiles

After your brief introduction to algebra in the previous unit on multiple representations, we will now be turning our focus to Algebra in earnest. One method for teaching algebra uses manipulative known as algebra tile (or "alge-tiles"). I will admit that I did not use alge-tiles when I was taught algebra, but a lot of research in math education has demonstrated their effectiveness. Watch the video below how to use alge-tiles.
